BoDo - Boise Downtown condos, restaurants and shopping

With the perfect mixture of quaint old-town charm and a modern urban vibe, BoDo offers a city lifestyle with all the perks.

In the heart of Downtown Boise, you will find a shopping, dining, and commercial district locals affectionately refer to a BoDo.

This vibrant part of the Boise city center combines work and leisure, and residents of the nearby condos enjoy a short commute to downtown offices and easy walks to events and amenities.

BoDo’s natural boundaries are Myrtle to Front Street and 9th to Capitol Boulevard. Many offices, shops, restaurants, and attractions call BoDo home, and the area also neighbors Trader Joe’s, JUMP Boise, and the Boise Centre on the Grove.

BoDo residents can walk less than a mile from their doorstep to the Capital City Public Market every Saturday during the spring, summer, and fall, and savor some of Boise’s most popular restaurants in their own backyard.

The name BoDo is a remix of “Boise Downtown” and is also the moniker of the commercial complex on 9th and Broad Street that was completed in 2005.

Living in BoDo

If you’re looking for the quintessential urban living experience, there’s hardly a better place to experience it than BoDo. BoDo’s attractions include a mixture of locally-owned and a few chain restaurants, a theater, a cycle studio, a comedy club, and much more.

Many BoDo residents are motivated by one thing in particular: location, location, location. BoDo’s centrality to downtown’s countless events and amenities is highly desirable, especially if you want to bike or walk to your downtown office every day.

There are two residential buildings in BoDo, The Aspen Lofts and the R Grey Lofts. Both buildings offer some of the most desirable luxury condos in downtown Boise.

The Aspen Lofts are 75 of Boise’s premiere high-rise condos with a rooftop terrace, kitchen, and patio, a resident-only exercise facility, and private parking. At the top of this 17-level building, you’ll find three of Idaho’s most dazzling penthouses. The apartments for sale at The Aspen Lofts range in price from $275,000 for a studio to over $1,000,000 for a 2,400 square foot, three bedroom condo.

The R Grey Lofts feature towering 11-foot ceilings with ten-foot window walls and balconies that overlook this lively part of downtown. Completely rebuilt in 2009, the R Grey Lofts offer sixteen one and two-bedroom condos in its three stories. The lofts range in size from 800 to 1,400 square feet and are priced from the low $300s to high $600s.

The BoDo Lifestyle

Picture urban living at its finest, and you have BoDo. With popular watering holes nearby, you’ll never wonder where you’re heading for happy hour after work on a Friday night.

Live music will drift up from the streets below to your balcony on summer evenings, and you’ll be able to walk to almost any downtown destination in minutes.

With Trader Joe’s, Winco, and Whole Foods all within a mile radius, residents don’t have to think twice about a leisurely stroll or bike ride to the grocery store. BoDo residents have a stunning view of the growing City of Trees right out their window with plenty of people-watching included.

Right around the corner from BoDo is Boise’s burgeoning arts and culture district, including Ballet Idaho, the Boise Contemporary Theater, and the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Center. Just down Broad Street from BoDo is one of Boise’s newest up-and-coming districts, the Central Addition, with sleek new restaurants, a locally-operated brewery, and a hip coffee shop.

With its prime location, BoDo is in the middle of whatever’s going on downtown: music, markets, events, rallies, and conventions. Downtown Boise buzzes with energy, and BoDo is at the core of it.
